Accessibility Statement

1. Scope and who we are

This Accessibility Statement applies to the Mix It Up suite operated by Blazing Cacti LLC (“Blazing Cacti,” “we,” “us”).

Mix It Up,” the “Platform,” or the “Services” includes:

(a) websites and web applications under *.mixitupapp.com;
(b) Windows desktop applications built with .NET WPF;
(c) mobile apps published under our developer accounts;
(d) official browser extensions;
(e) our public APIs, SDKs, CLIs, and developer documentation;
(f) in-product communications and support surfaces that we design and control; and
(g) future platform ports (e.g., macOS, Linux) as they ship.

Scope limits. This statement covers experiences we design and control. Embedded third‑party widgets, identity provider pages, external links, and user‑generated content are subject to those parties’ accessibility practices. We select vendors that commit to WCAG 2.1 AA and escalate accessibility defects with them. Where feasible, we provide workarounds.

2. Conformance target and current status

We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 AA and actively track WCAG 2.2 AA criteria where feasible.

Current status: Partially conformant.

Some components do not yet fully meet the criteria; see Known limitations below.

3. Standards we reference

WCAG 2.1 AA as the primary benchmark; we also track WCAG 2.2 AA developments.
U.S. Section 508 (Revised), harmonized with WCAG for software and web.
EN 301 549 (EU accessibility requirements for ICT products and services), applicable to software, documentation, and support.
Platform guidelines and APIs:

  • Windows desktop: Microsoft UI Automation (UIA) patterns and properties, keyboard accessibility, High Contrast/forced-colors, Magnifier, and compatibility with Narrator, NVDA, and JAWS.
  • Web: semantic HTML with WAI-ARIA used appropriately.
  • iOS/macOS: UIAccessibility and VoiceOver conventions.
  • Android: Android accessibility APIs and TalkBack conventions.

4. How we assess accessibility

We use manual and assistive-technology testing alongside automated tooling to evaluate:

  • Keyboard-only navigation and focus management
  • Semantic structure, roles, names, and states
  • Color and contrast, resizing and reflow
  • Forms, validation, and error recovery
  • Motion, flashing, and user preferences (reduced motion)

We conduct:

  • Quarterly internal spot checks as part of CI and release QA
  • Periodic third-party audits against WCAG success criteria
  • Issue triage and remediation tracked in our engineering backlog

5. Compatibility we target

We test with current versions of the following combinations:

  • Windows desktop (WPF): Windows 10/11 with Narrator, NVDA, and JAWS; High Contrast/forced-colors; Magnifier; keyboard-only paths
  • Windows (browsers): Chrome + JAWS, Chrome/Firefox + NVDA
  • macOS (browsers): Safari + VoiceOver, Chrome + VoiceOver
  • iOS/iPadOS: Safari + VoiceOver
  • Android: Chrome + TalkBack

Other combinations may work. We aim to maintain compatibility with browser/AT versions released within the last two major versions.

6. Animation and motion

We avoid flashing content that exceeds three flashes in any one-second period or the general/red flash thresholds (WCAG 2.3.1). Where motion is essential to understanding, we provide an equivalent, non-animated experience.

7. Known limitations

The following are known gaps we are actively working to address:

  • Some non-text UI controls in advanced editors lack descriptive labels
  • Intermittent color-contrast regressions after theme updates
  • Certain keyboard paths in overlay builders need improved focus order
  • Occasional missing captions or transcripts for older tutorial videos

If you encounter a barrier not listed here, please contact us so we can investigate and remediate.

8. Remediation timelines

We classify issues by user impact and target fixes as follows:

  • Critical blockers preventing task completion for assistive-technology users: 30 days
  • High severity issues with reasonable workarounds: 60 days
  • Medium issues: 90 days
  • Low cosmetic or edge-case issues: prioritized as feasible

We may provide temporary workarounds while a permanent fix is in progress.

9. Legacy technologies and equivalent facilitation

Some components within the Mix It Up suite are built on older frameworks that may impose technical constraints. Where a criterion is not technically feasible without fundamentally breaking functionality or imposing a disproportionate burden, we will:

  • document the limitation and why it cannot be remediated promptly;
  • provide equivalent facilitation such as alternate flows, captions/transcripts, or assisted support; and
  • prioritize modernized replacements on the product roadmap. These are exceptions, reviewed during audits, not shortcuts.

Release notes: Known accessibility limitations and workarounds are provided within the release notes of each impacted product until resolved.

10. Third-party content and vendor accountability

We select vendors that commit to WCAG 2.1 AA in contracts where feasible and escalate accessibility issues with them. For material third‑party accessibility blockers, we will note known issues in release notes until resolved.

11. Feedback, alternative formats, and procurement

If you encounter accessibility barriers or need an alternative format, contact:

Email (primary): accessibility@mixitupapp.com
Privacy contact: privacy@mixitupapp.com

We aim to respond within 5 business days and provide alternative formats within 10 business days, unless complexity reasonably requires more time. If you do not receive a response within the stated timeframe, forward your request with “Accessibility Escalation” in the subject line to info@mixitupapp.com.

We will collaborate with customers on reasonable accommodations during deployment.

VPAT/ACR: A current WCAG 2.1 AA VPAT 2.4 (ACR) is available per product and version upon request. Please specify the product and version you are evaluating.

This statement describes goals and processes. It does not create contractual warranties and is not a guarantee of full conformance at all times.
